But the good times did not last, and the era of the deities soon passed. With the deity nowhere to be found, Menki was left with only fragments of the Heavenly Scrolls as a keepsake. Even though countless years have passed, Menki has not forgotten his partner's entrustment and continues to care for the keepsake, waiting for the day it can be reunited with its original owner.
