Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how HoKStats.gg, an Arena Index product operated by TOTM Tech LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses and shares information when you visit https://hokstats.gg (the “Site”) or use the HoKStats mobile app for iOS or Android (the “App”). By using the Site or App you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

HoKStats.gg is an independent fan database and companion app for the game Honor of Kings and part of Arena Index, a TOTM Tech game intelligence brand. We are not affiliated with Tencent Games, TiMi Studio Group, Level Infinite or any official publisher of Honor of Kings. All game assets, hero names, item icons and trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

2. Information we collect

Account creation is optional. You can use the core Site and App without signing in. The data processed about you comes from:

• Server request logs — our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically records IP address, user-agent, referrer, timestamp and requested URL when you load the Site or when the App requests web-hosted content. These logs are retained for a short period for security, caching and aggregate traffic analytics and are not used to identify individual visitors.
• Account and synced preferences — if you create a free account, Firebase Authentication processes your email address and authentication credentials on our behalf. We store your Firebase user ID, favorite heroes, selected roles, language and beginner-mode preference in Cloud Firestore so those choices can sync across devices. HoKStats does not receive or store your password. Recently viewed heroes remain local to your device.
• Local App and browser preferences — favorite heroes and preferences are also stored locally so core features continue to work offline. If you do not sign in, those values remain on that device or browser.
• App content requests — the App may request HoKStats.gg-hosted static data, images or policy pages. Those requests may appear in server logs as described above.
• App analytics and diagnostics — the App uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand aggregate feature usage, app opens, screen views, selected in-app actions, crashes, device/OS information and diagnostic data. These services are provided by Google LLC and are not used by us to identify individual users.
• Cookies set by third-party advertising partners on the Site (when enabled — see Section 4).
• Embedded YouTube videos — the Site embeds gameplay videos using youtube-nocookie.com to minimize tracking. YouTube may still set cookies once you press play. The App does not embed YouTube videos at this time. See YouTube/Google Privacy Policy.

3. How we use information

• To operate, maintain and secure the Site and App.
• To understand aggregate usage patterns (which pages are popular, device/browser breakdowns).
• To remember App preferences on your device and provide the features you select.
• To authenticate an optional account and synchronize the preferences you choose across devices.
• To serve advertising and measure ad performance on the Site through trusted partners (Section 4).
• To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not build cross-site advertising profiles on our own.

4. Advertising and third-party cookies

We may display advertising served by Google AdSense or equivalent networks. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and other sites on the Internet.

The App does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not display third-party ads at this time.

• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You may opt out of third-party vendor cookies via aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com.
• EEA/UK users: we rely on a consent signal (Google’s Consent Management Platform) for non-essential cookies where required under GDPR.

5. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with HoKStats.gg. GA4 collects anonymised usage data including pages visited, session duration, device type and approximate location (country/region level). This data is processed by Google LLC and subject to Google's Privacy Policy. GA4 uses cookies; you can opt out via Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. We do not share this data with third parties beyond what Google's service requires.

The App uses Firebase Analytics to measure aggregate product usage, including events such as app opens, onboarding completion, hero detail views, tier filter changes and data update results. Firebase may process device identifiers, app instance identifiers, approximate location, device/OS information and event metadata to provide analytics reports. The App also uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostics, such as crash stack traces, device state and app version, so we can improve reliability. These services are provided by Google LLC and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Data retention

Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) and then deleted or anonymized. Local preferences remain on your device until you change them, clear site/app data or uninstall the App. Optional account and synchronization data remains in Firebase until you delete the account in Settings/Account or ask us to delete it. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data is retained according to Google Firebase and Google Analytics retention settings.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR for the EEA/UK, CCPA for California, LGPD for Brazil), you may have the right to:

• Request access to the information we hold about you.
• Request deletion or correction.
• Object to or restrict processing.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time (via your browser settings or ad vendor opt-outs).

You can delete an optional HoKStats account and its synchronized data from the Account screen on the Site or in App Settings. Local favorites on the current device are intentionally retained after account deletion so offline use is not disrupted; you can remove them manually or clear site/app data. You may also contact us for access, correction or deletion assistance.

8. Children

The Site and App are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page indicates when the current version was published. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage.
